WHY WAS THE CLUB STARTED?
A group of young people in the Ngwelezane Community expressed a strong desire to impact positively on their community through the delivery of community projects. WHY WAS THE CLUB STARTED?
A group of young people in the Ngwelezane Community expressed a strong desire to impact positively on their community through the delivery of community projects. Khulisa then offered to provide them Ubuntu training as a way of assisting them to implement these community projects. The club is in the process of registering as an NPO so as to formalise the services they are rendering and to access funding for their projects.

CLUB ACTIVITIES:
The following projects were conducted in the community for the benefit of various members of the community:

Activities for youth to keep them away from criminal activities i.e. sport events

Awareness programmes for community members on starting their own businesses

Sourcing of education material for disadvantaged children
-
Promotion of animal vaccinations
-
Prison visits for youth to disuade them from criminal activities
-
Operation of soup kitchens at various schools
-
Running of a community creche
