Khulisa proposed to implement an Ubuntu Club programme targeting youth who are out of school in Phomolong, Tembisa and received funding from DHL for this . Through this initiative youth will gain a variety of skills that will enhance personal development and provide a platform for youth to engage in community outreach programmes and community projects.  The programme also develops social entrepreneurship skills that allow participants to practice a variety of skills that are required to start up small ventures.  The start up of ventures is encouraged where appropriate.

The programme will also incorporate a puppet making process that could be used as a small venture opportunity.  The development of social entrepreneurship skills will be done in partnership with the ‘Grannies Club’ that has a two year history with Khulisa in the Tembisa area.
